XK8: Jaguar’s DNA, now at McCarthy Cars

Power and Performance

The Jaguar XK8 has made a number of significant changes in comparison to its predecessor the XJS and XK-E (E-Type). The first modification is the stunning 4.0 aluminum unit with twin overhead camshafts and four valves per cylinder engine that accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in only 5.2 seconds, making it quicker than the old models. Whilst providing dual front airbags and antilock 4 wheel disc brakes, along with speed- sensitive power steering so you're always in control.

Delving deeper into the safety aspects of the XK8, it also has an Automatic Stability Control also known as Anti-Slip Regulation (ASR). This is an electro- hydraulic system designed to prevent loss of traction during low- grip conditions, as the ASC reduces the engine power to help maintain the traction. (but one would still advice you, to brake when needed)

The XK8 comes with standard with 18-inch (460 mm) alloy wheels with a full Beige leather interior and a Walnut marble trim. The in car sound system adds the finishing touches; 6 disc Harman- Kardon CD player, giving you quality outside and in.
