Motor Trader Awards 2011: Highly Commended

On Wednesday July 13, the Grosvenor House Hotel in London played host to the prestigious 2011 Motor Trader Awards. The annual Motor Trader awards ceremony celebrates the top achievements of the UK automotive industry for the previous year of 2010.

The Motor Trader event saw the cream of the UK's automotive industry gathering together for the presentation of award in 19 different categories, including customer care, online innovation and best car retailer awards.

The Motor Trader judging panel judge the various nominees based on a variety of criteria. They decided on winners in each category plus highly commended companies where they have identified that a company who has not won first prize deserves specific recognition.

At the 2011 Motor Trader Awards last month, McCarthy Cars was very proud to be highly commended in the 'Used Car Retailer of the Year' category.

This category is sponsored by VCARS and is open to all franchised and independent dealers, retailing used cars to the public. The judges for this category "look for evidence of professionally managed and profitable businesses that have increased stock turnover by sourcing vehicles best suited to their customers needs".

Also taken into consideration in this category are any successful marketing programmes and any available, positive customer testimonials.
