Mechanic - up to £36,000 depending on experience/qualification

McCarthy Cars are due to expansion looking for an experienced self-motivated vehicle technicians / motor mechanics with a minimum of level 3 qualification (or fully qualified service mechanic) of dealing with various makes and models of car to work in our service department in Mitcham Road, Croydon, Surrey.

Salary Range from £18,000 to £36,000 depending on experience and ability.

This rewarding role would suit someone who is very capable, looking to take charge and make the position their own.

You will need to be self-motivated, be able to work without supervision and able to prioritise your workload effectively. Experience of using various diagnostic tools would be advantageous, but not essential. The majority of the work required would be straightforward servicing and PDI’s on vehicles aged from 3 to 10 years old.

We pride ourselves on a high level of attention to detail and so you will be required to be able to produce the highest possible level of work at all times. There will be elements of the role that will involve dealing directly with customers, other companies and members of the public, so you will be required to have a good understanding of spoken and written English.

This is a permanent key role for the right candidate.

This is a full-time role, Monday to Friday, 9 am to 6 pm. Alternate Saturday work involved, 8am - 1pm.
