DOG-FRIENDLY REVIEWS – HONDA CR-V
Overall paw score: 4 out of 5.
The Honda CR-V is a lot roomier than you might first anticipate. Thanks to folding, sliding rear seats, the vehicle can comfortably contain a large dog. The boot floor is lower to the ground in this car than it is in many others, making it simple for most animals to access. The floor is flush with the rear door too – another advantage when travelling with a pet.
The carpeted boot floor is removable, which means that cleaning it is simple.
Most CR-V models feature privacy glass, which plays a significant part in keeping the boot area as cool as possible during lengthy trips on warm days.
Keeping your dog secure
Unfortunately, the vehicle’s boot compartment is not fitted with tie-down hooks. This means that a dog cage cannot be securely installed. It is possible, however, to position a cage between the rear door and rear seats – if the latter are angled sufficiently.
Numerous dog guard options are available for a car of this type, to suit all budgets and animal sizes. Please contact us for more information and recommendations.
The Honda CR-V is alarmed, and the only way to prevent it from being activated is to lock the door with the car’s key. This will ensure that your dog can’t set off the alarm if you need to make a quick visit to a shop, for example.
